The RT9756A is a high-efficiency and high charge current charger. The efficiency is up to 98.2% when VBAT = 4V, IBAT = 2A with a maximum charge current of up to 8A in DIV2 mode. In bypass mode, the efficiency is up to 99.1% when VBAT = 4V and IBAT = 1A, with a maximum charger current of up to 5A. The device integrates smart cap divider topology, direct charging mode, external overvoltage protection control, an input reverse blocking N-MOSFET and 2-way regulation, a dual-phase charge pump core, 14-way protection, 9-way system alarm, 8-channel high-speed analog-to-digital converter and USB BC 1.2 detection. The high-speed analog-to-digital converter provides input and output voltage, current, and temperature information to the host, which can be monitored via the I2C serial interface. The recommended junction temperature range is -40°C to 125°C, and the ambient temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
